After a fury of hype singles, rapper J.K. The Reaper and producer Supah Mario have released their highly anticipated 9-song EP. Now, many of you should be incredibly familiar with J.K. as one of the original mic slayers of the SoundCloud era. He’s only refined his penmenship in the past years and his latest project is concrete evidence. Titled Don’t Try This At Home, The Reaper performs some death defying stunts over impeccable production. Supah Mario has been having an incredible year, working with the likes of Drake and Lil Uzi Vert. His co-sign does not come lightly, working with an established artist with strong writing skills shows J.K. is everything we thought he could be. With singles like “Hot Ones” and “Freak of the Week” being a small sample of the heat on the EP, there is a lot of versatility form J.K. in between the bass-blasting heaters we’ve come to expect from him. Hot Ones – [J.K. The Reaper] & [Supah Mario]

If you have been a fan of underground hip-hop then there’s no doubt you are familiar with the name J.K. The Reaper. The artist out of North Carolina electrified listeners with his sharp lyricism and aggressive delivery on many iconic songs from the peak of the SoundCloud era. J.K. connected with Supah Mario, a producer who has been on an absolute tear this year contributing to some of 2020’s biggest albums. Mario’s sound was crucial to Lil Uzi Vert’s behemoth album Eternal Atake, so it comes as no surprise that the super-producer shifted his eyes to another talent that is ready to reclaim his title as one of the nicest out of the underground. The pair recently dropped an energetic new single titled “Hot Ones”, a spicy single that highlights why a collab from these 2 is long overdue. With J.K. The Reaper, you can always expect witty verses that feature lines that implant themselves in your head. Since I first time I heard this song, J.K. outlining himself getting wild and doing a “Swanton Bomb into a Hot Tub” was an image I just couldn’t get out of my head. This heater was accompanied by visuals that match the tempo of the …

Problems – [Austin Royale]

Austin Royale is the definition of the new wave of the underground wave of punk rap that’s been taking the internet by storm over the last year. Today Austin graces the Lyrical Lemonade pages with his new single entitled “Problems” featuring fellow North Carolinian rapper and underground favorite J.K. The Reaper and Goon Des Garcons. The first time I met Austin was at a music festival last summer in Charlotte, North Carolina and he was pretty chill and well mannered. But as soon as he hit the stage it was as if he was a completely different person. You could feel the energy emitting from him during his performance and the crowd reacted well to his set. One thing that will benefit Austin is become more consistent from each drop and continuing to build a good sound. He’s got the stage presence the attitude, individuality and some solid tracks behind. He just has to continue to put all the pieces of the puzzle together over time. Stream Austin Royale’s single “Problems” below.

I really enjoyed this song when I first heard it some weeks ago, but this new music video was extremely crisp and clean, the director Philly Fly Boy did a fantastic job with this one. Dressed 2 Kill – [J.K. The Reaper] ft. [Denzel Curry]

North Carolina’s J.K The Reaper has dropped a video for his Kaytranada produced track “Dressed 2 Kill” with Denzel Curry. The video features J.K at a photoshoot while he continuously gets surrounded by more and more models – until Denzel Curry needs to step in. “Dressed 2 Kill” was already one of this year’s best singles, but a lot of people have been sleeping on it – hopefully the release of this video changes that. Check it out below and let us know what you think.
