Moment of Silence – [Glockboyz Teejaee] [Slim Santana] & [Cruwop]

Although go back and listen to some of Slim Santana’s music from a few years ago that I got heavily into, I kind of somehow let him slip my mind. Luckily, he, alongside Glockboyz Teejaee and Cruwop, gave me an amazing refresher that sent me spiraling right back into the amazing sonic world that he creates. While I’m not familiar with the other two artists just yet, I was thoroughly impressed with what they brought to the table on their song “Moment of Silence”, and it was an even better reminder for me of just how talented Slim is. I’m not entirely sure who produced this hit, but it contains some momentum-carrying synths as well as a slight vocal sample during portions that is eventually taken over by chattering percussion and thunderous drums for an almost Michigan-style rhythm that is taking the music world by storm right now. I’m not completely positive, but I believe that Teejaee starts this track off with his verse, boasting some confident and aggressive words that just roll off of his tongue effortlessly. Slim takes over the minimalistic hook where the beat simplifies and he basically repeats the name of the song before coming in …

4DaGVNG – [Slim Santana]

Atlanta has truly been one of the biggest hubs of hip-hop talents for years now, but these days, new dope artists seem to be bubbling up every week or so, and Slim Santana is certainly one of them. Although Slim Santana isn’t new to our lemon filled pages, many across the globe have been getting in tune with him lately, and today he is back with his latest record titled “4DaGVNG”. This song finds Slim just kicking some catchy rhymes about his crew and what he would do for them, along with some braggadocious bars mixed in there, as he created a memorable song in the process. If you enjoy some of Atlanta’s elite emcees, the odds are that you will enjoy Slim Santana, so check him out below!

SANTANA – [Slim Santana]

Melodically inclined Atlanta rapper Slim Santana returned recently with a new eight-track project titled “SANTANA” which gave us another look at the Yung Bans and YNW Melly collaborator who is looking to cement himself in both the fast-paced Atlanta scene, but as well as more of a presence from the masses of rap listeners on the internet. Santana is quite naturally gifted and has a unique voice and flow and on this latest project, he seems to have found his voice more and is beginning to carve out his own personal style. The project features Oz Sparx, Ola Runt, and Yung Bans and these could not have been more perfect selections for SANTANA’s guest verses. As usual Slim’s beat selection was always in pocket and never dull and I have to say that the Oz Sparx featuring track “Like I’m Durk” is my favorite track out of the eight. Keep an eye on Slim Santana for the rest of 2020 and I am personally very excited to see what he unloads next.

Block Party – [Slim Santana] & [Hollywood YC]

Slim Santana is an artist out of Atlanta that has been making a name for himself over the past couple of years, and today the talented rapper is back with his brand new music video for “Block Party” featuring Hollywood YC. I have heard nothing but good things about Slim Santana since I first got put onto him, plenty of my close homies convinced me to give him some time in my headphones & assured me that he would become someone I enjoy, and man they were right. Although I have liked Slim Santana’s prior content, this one is easily my favorite song from him, he lead the charge on this track + gave a good performance, and the feature on the back end from Hollywood YC made it that much better. Hopefully we see some more content from these two talents in the near future, but for now, peep this new visual below. Directed by Natalpics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPEQTmLQFDo

Dark Angel – [Slim Santana]

Slim Santana is a creative out of Atlanta who has been turning a lot of heads thus far into 2019, and not too long ago he unleashed his new full-length project titled “Dark Angel.” Slim Santana first caught my attention earlier this year when he and LL favorite Yung Bans released a music video for one of their tracks, they displayed great chemistry on the song + I quickly became a fan of Slim Santana, so going into this new tape I had big expectations. After running through these eight tracks that were provided I was pleased with the outcome, Slim Santana has a ton of potential and I don’t picture it being too long before he is one of the hottest new artists coming out. Stream this brand new project via Soundcloud below and if you enjoy what you hear, then don’t forget to follow him here!

Misunderstood – [Yung Bans]

The journey that Atlanta native Yung Bans has traveled over the past few years to get to this point is unlike anyone else, he has overcame advertises that are unimaginable, and although I won’t go in-depth about those any true Yung Bans fan knows he has came a long way to this release of his brand new debut album titled “MISUNDERSTOOD”. This project is a total of nineteen tracks in length and it contains some of the best material Yung Bans has released to date hands down, that’s what I was expecting though, this was a long time coming and I knew that Bans would have some serious heat tucked away for this special moment. Although Yung Bans was clearly the shining factor on this project, there are multiple star studded features from the likes of XXXTentacion, 03 Greedo, Young Thug, Gunna, YNW Melly, Lil Tjay, Slim Santana, Future, NAV and last but not least, Lil Durk! I enjoyed each and every single one of these records provided, but a couple of my favorites include the infectious track “I Don’t Even Crip” as well as HOT record “Ready Set Go”. Stream this brand new album via Spotify below and if you like …

Fly On The Wall – [Duffle Bag Buru]

Chicago’s own Duffle Bag Buru has built up a solid reputation and catalog as one of the cities best emcees over the past few years, but until now there was something missing, a FULL LENGTH PROJECT! I have been waiting for this (probably impatiently) for such a long time and I even got the chance to tell Buru a few times that I wanted a full length from him, so you can only image my excitement today when he unleashed his brand new project titled “Fly On The Wall”. The first couple of things that caught my attention about this tape were the interesting title and the well put together cover art, before diving into the music and within the first ten minutes I was on the edge of my seat, it is chop filled with SLAPPERS one after another the whole way through. There is a total of fifteen songs on this project and Duffle Bag Buru displayed a nice variety of different sounds on this tape, everything from hard knocking bangers to more slow tempo & introspective joints. I know it’s early to say, but I would be expecting to see this tape on our “Top 50 Chicago …
