Before We Go – [Brasstracks]

Your favorite eclectic alternative R&B duo Brasstracks is back today with a refreshing new EP entitled Before We Go. A couple of weeks back, we ended up covering their colorful single “Alright” featuring rising R&B vocalist R.Lum.R. The multi-talented NYC producer duo tread new waters as this is their first body of work that’s centered around hip-hop and R&B, and alongside additional features from Pell, Grace, Anthony Flammia and Charles Gains, this attempt on taking on some new ground was certainly successful. The Brasstacks are known for the use of live instrumentation in their music which overall really makes their sound come alive and jump out your speakers when you press play. If you didn’t know, they are the production minds behind Chance the Rapper’s smash hit “No Problems” featuring Lil’ Wayne and 2 Chainz! You can catch Brasstracks on the road with Pell and Kemba in a city near you this spring on one of their 26 tour stops. Press play on Brasstracks new EP ‘Before We Go’ below.

I’m Alright – [Brasstracks & R.LUM.R]

Producer tandem Brasstracks and budding R&B riser R.LUM.R team up to create a vibrant bouncy single “I’m Alright.” This is the second single from the Brasstracks camp before their forthcoming project ‘Before We Go’. The brass-heavy and funky soul collaboration is the first time that Ivan and Conor have linked up with R.LUM.R. and the outcome didn’t disappoint. Both acts had been familiar and fans of each other since their Soundcloud days which was the starting point of their relationship. Ivan and Conor stated via email “ “I’m Alright” has been about a year and some change in the making – we reached out to R.LUM.R after hearing some of his music on Soundcloud and found out that we were mutual fans of each other. We set up a session in NYC pretty quickly, the studio that we met up at didn’t have the proper equipment (classic) so we just went back to the home studio and made the bulk of it there..” Brasstracks are gearing up for a big 2019 as they are already slotted to headline a 26 city tour with rappers Pell and Kemba, after the release of their EP at the end of January.
