its like basketball – [MIKE]

MIKE is one of the most promising up-and-coming rap artists at the moment. From his intoxicating and off-kilter delivery, to his unique and eclectic production choices, he’s proved his prowess for dense songwriting and received waves of attention in such a short time due to his boundary-pushing artistry. Last year he dropped one of the better rap albums to be released in 2018, late-December’s War In My Pen. Now in 2019, he has a new project, titled tears of joy, releasing on June 21st, and his new song “its like basketball” is the first offering in support of it. The production on here, handled by Sportinglife and DJ Blackpower, is hypnotizing as ever, and MIKE’s cadence is hazy but strong, perfectly suiting the ethereal beat. Along with this, the rhyme schemes housed within his pitiful delivery are enthralling. It’s safe to say that all of the great elements of MIKE’s music are on display during this minute and a half teaser track, and I can’t wait to hear his new project in full. Check out the “its like basketball” visuals, courtesy of Dey Visuals, for yourself below and look out for MIKE’s new project on June 21st. You won’t want …

Choosin – [Global AzN]

Returning to our pages today, Maryland favorite and rising Global Gang member AzN delivers his new visual for “Choosin”. Released earlier this year, “Choosin” was AzN’s standout track from his first major EP titled LOVELESS, which was centered around the sentiments of hopelessness and the feeling of living in a seemingly loveless generation. This specific visual truly represents AzN as an artist, bringing his mysterious, eerie, and captivating side to life. Between the quick transitions, trippy edits, and engaging color schemes, AzN and video director Axel Kabundji were able to craft the perfect visual to depict AzN’s emotions throughout “Choosin”. The rising artist stated that “this is a song that really showcases people’s dark intentions and how fast people can switch up.” Nonetheless, AzN executed his EP follow up flawlessly and with purpose, creating a promising space of growth and success for himself and the rest of the Global Gang. Be sure to watch his new visual for hit single “Choosin” below and follow Global AzN on Instagram and Twitter!

Joan Of Arc – [Night Lovell] Ft. [$UICIDEBOY$]

Ottawa’s own Night Lovell has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the underground and his $UICIDEBOY$-assisted track Joan Of Arc is only more proof of that. Produced by Bud Dwyer (AKA $crim,) the hard-hitting beat was right at home for both Lovell and his counterparts who flooded the instrumental with their lethal verses that almost have enough demonic energy to make you possessed. Following his appearance on DJ Scheme’s single Love Kills Slowly, the momentum continues to roll in Lovell’s corner as we head into the halfway point of the year and with each feature or release comes more reason to tune-in and get behind the up-and-coming 22-year-old Canadian rapper. Whether or not you’re new on Night Lovell, press play on this heater below in Joan Of Arc with the $UICIDEBOY$ and keep an eye for more from these names in the near future.

Love Kills Slowly – [DJ Scheme] Ft. [Night Lovell] & [Fat Nick]

Palm Beach producer DJ Scheme has been the man behind the keys on several songs for the likes of Wifisfuneral, Ski Mask The Slump God and XXXTentacion. Now, he is making an appearance on our pages with a release of his debut single titled Love Kills featuring Night Lovell & Fat Nick, all while ringing in Scheme Season being the title of his forthcoming project. With production from Cian P, the devilish instrumental was a perfect foundation for Lovell and Fat Nick who traded off each with a verse of their own before the beat rides-out to end the song. The new album is absolutely stacked with features including Robb Bank$, Yung Bans, Kembe X, $UICIDEBOY$ and Big Baby Scumbag amongst others, and with only a couple snippets to go around it’s safe to say the anticipation is set for Scheme Season. Keep posted for the next single from DJ Scheme’s album very soon but until then, let loose Love Kills Slowly at the link below!
