The American Reject – [Taylor Bennett]

A few days back we released our exclusive interview with Chicago native Taylor Bennett where he spoke on plenty of subjects including his upcoming album, and we just got blessed with the final product, as Taylor just dropped “The American Reject”. I was blessed enough to get an early listen of this tape when I interviewed Taylor, but it sounds even better in my headphones at maximum volume, he created without a doubt his best project to date. My favorite song on this project is either “Singing The Blues” featuring Femdot or the track “No One Outside” with Bianca Shaw and Chance The Rapper, but this entire tape is flawless in my opinion. Stream this sensational new album below and if you like it check out Taylor’s website and cop some of his merchandise!

Taylor Bennett Speaks on The American Reject, the Cover Art, TBE + more!

Taylor Bennett has been one of the biggest pieces in the puzzle that makes up Chicago’s music community. He has been rapping and creating music for damn near a decade and has become not only one of Chicago’s best rappers, but more importantly one of the brightest business minds that the city has to offer. The growth of his company Taylor Bennett Entertainment has been amazing to watch to say the least: he has built up a still small yet unbelievably talented roster with Bianca Shaw who has blossomed into one of the best talents that the city has to offer, as well as Zxxk who is one of the most talented producers & creatives in the game. When we look back ten years from now, these two will be far along in their careers under the guidance of Taylor & TBE. Next week Taylor is releasing his forthcoming album The American Reject, and when I saw him tease the cover I knew I had to bring him by the Lyrical Lemonade office to pick his brain about the project, the cover and so much more. As we gear up for the project that appears to be Taylor’s biggest and most …

Exhale EP – [Bianca Shaw]

If you know anything about the Chicago music scene then you know that there has been a ton of hype surrounding TBE’s own Bianca Shaw, who is returning to our pages this afternoon with her brand new EP titled “Exhale”. There is a total of seven records on this EP and after running through the tape a couple of times through my initial thoughts were “she really outdid herself”. I had huge expectations coming into this tape but I wasn’t expecting it to be this sonically pleasing, it’s easily one of the best projects to drop out of the city so far this year, be expecting to see this on our Top 50 List at the end of the year.   Along with the release of this sensational new EP, Bianca left us with some words about this new release adding Using her voice to speak her truth, Bianca Shaw is sharing her story in her breakthrough album, “Exhale”. Bianca is exhaling through all of her experiences and tribulations that has brought her to this point in her life. Sharing her spirituality and vulnerability, she is showing us a side to her that we may have never seen before in …

Bipolar – [Bianca Shaw]

Chicago is home to an unbelievable amount of creatives and we aim to bring you the best talent here on our pages, which is why I am extremely happy to bring our audience the premiere of Bianca Shaw’s brand new music video for “Bipolar”. The west side Chicagoan has been making a ton of noise in the industry over the last year or so with her TBE (Tay Bennett Entertainment) family, and this stellar music video is only going to continue her upward trend. This is one of the most unique music videos that I have watched in recent memory, so shout out to the video director Griffin Olis for doing a fantastic job, hopefully we get to see these two work together more in the future! Take a few minutes of your evening to check out this brand new visual below, and if you like Bianca’s sound then be sure to keep up with her by giving her a follow on Twitter here! Along with the release of this record Bianca left us with some words saying: “I’m excited to premiere my first official music video with my family at TBE.  When I first wrote this song, I was expressing …

Be Yourself – [Taylor Bennett]

Chicago’s own Taylor Bennett released a gem of a project late last night with his brand new EP titled “Be Yourself”, and it’s nothing you want to miss out on. There is a total of six records on this project and after running through it the first time I must admit I was impressed with the final product, he exceeded my already high expectations. The intro record featuring TBE signee Bianca Shaw is phenomenal, and Taylor didn’t let up in the least bit as the track list went on, making for an all around awesome listen. I really liked this EP and I believe that you will too, check it out for yourself below!

Taylor Bennett releases track list for “Be Yourself”

Taylor Bennett is a good friend of ours here at Lyrical Lemonade & has been for years now, so I was more than excited when he decided to premiere + announce his the track list for his brand new album titled Be Yourself that drops on July 12th! Taylor was asking fans who they believe might be featured on this project on his Instagram  yesterday, and it’s safe to say he didn’t disappoint as the track list shows that Bianca Shaw, Young Thug, Zxxk & last but certainly not least Supa Bwe will all be apart of this tape! Taylor has progressed a ton as an artist since I first started listening to him and I believe all of his fans would agree that this new tape has a special energy about it, he has put out some great music in the past but I predict that this will be his best material yet! Along with the release of this track list, Taylor left us with some words adding: I’m making this project for Our future, & for Our Children. “Be YourSelf.” isn’t just an album rather an opportunity for a “Round Table” discussion. I emphasis the words round table because this discussion …

Be Yourself – [Taylor Bennett]

Always one to wear his heart on his sleeve, Chicago’s own Taylor Bennett returns today with a triumphant new single titled “Be Yourself”. As the title would imply, Bennett focusses his bars around the importance of self-acceptance–a theme that a lot of songs have touched on, but the level of intimacy that he approaches the topic with makes this track standout. He delivers one long, introspective verse touching on several struggles he’s faced, whether it be growing up, coming into his own as an artist or sharing his sexual orientation. As he offers the sentiment of turning ones vulnerabilities into superpowers, the polished production of this song amplifies Taylor’s optimism, driven by piano chords and powerful percussion. Frequent collaborator Bianca Shaw takes us to church at the end with a soulful melody sung through a distorted filter. “Deep down, you’re a goldmine; you know, diamonds take pressure” she echoes as the track fades, leaving listeners with one last memorable line to hold on to.

LL Presents: The Bianca Shaw Q&A

Bianca Shaw is a multi-talented name out of Chicago who burst onto the scene with her debut Guns & Roses project back in September 2016. Since then, the rapper/ singer/ drummer has worked with Taylor Bennett on the hit-records Only Difference & So High which also happened to be their first collaboration since her signing under the new ‘Taylor Bennett Entertainment’ label towards the end of last year. With that already-impressive track record, it was crucial to find out more about Bianca in one of our featured Q&A’s on the site, as she is about to blossom into Chicago’s next star. Make sure to dive into our discussion below and after doing so, check out the remix to Taylor & Bianca’s So High record with Twista right here. Watch Taylor Bennett & Bianca Shaw Freestyle on Sway

We all know that aside from being a great musical talent Taylor Bennett is also a solid actor and a business man who owns his own record label, TBE. If you have been following the moves he has made, then you are surely aware of his first signee Bianca Shaw, who is unarguably one of the hottest acts coming out of Chicago. They threw on a few of the hottest beats you’ll hear all week and that’s all it took for Bianca, Taylor, and Ricky Bats to do their thing! Enough talking about it though, check it out for yourself below!

So High – [Taylor Bennett] Ft. [Bianca Shaw]

Following his remix to Kendrick Lamar’s Feel, Taylor Bennett has come through tonight and graced his fans with his latest offering in So High featuring Bianca Shaw who also happens to be his first signing onto the Tay Bennett Entertainment label. With smooth-sounding production from Ludlow, the harmonic duo dazzled with their infectious vocals in-between the serenading hook from Bianca who also delivered a pleasant verse on romance and a significant other. It’s nothing new that Taylor & his brother Chance have preached independence in the music industry for some time, and with the 21-year-old being the founder of his own label, it was no surprise that his mission statement was to ‘revamp a broken industry.’ I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Taylor Bennett’s new label, but for now, be sure vibe out to So High with his most recent signee below!
