BACK ON TRACK – [O2worldwide]

If you haven’t taken the time to get into the music of O2worldwide yet, you really have to question what you are doing with your life. The Oklahoma City-based collective consists of 16 members that all bring something beautiful to the table. It’s been 2 years since O2’s last full-length project was released and since that time, they have developed their sound as a whole. They have been teasing the release of their full-length project BACK ON TRACK for some time, with their fans waiting patiently for new music the group has finally released an album that is timed perfectly as brighter days look to bring us all back to the path we were on prior to this stupid pandemic struck a year ago. O2worldwide is comprised of members who almost all are fresh out of High School, while they are young their sound is timeless beyond their years. What stands out above all when listening to this album in its intended order is how the tracklist transitions seamlessly from song to song, the attention to detail that went into crafting the project is evident. Once you press play on the intro “TOO SOON”, you are locked in for a …

I Know – [O2worldwide]

Today I am happy to introduce the Lyrical Lemonade readers to a group out of Oklahoma that I have been silently geeking over for the past few months. They go by O2worldwide and they’re one of the most exciting rap collectives that has yet to pop up on most people’s radars. Their most recent single “I Know” is chill yet incredibly bouncy, a perfect summation of their overall sound. The group is made up of longtime friends that came together as they all were passionate about putting on for where they come from, this type of relationship is what makes their music stand out so much. Each song has them easily trading off verses, each member brings something a little different to the table but the combination each artist makes them one of the most fun new listening experiences I’ve had this year. This song features three stars in the making from O2 who all shine bright in different ways. Ombachi is the group’s main producer and is the mastermind behind the beat, beyond the beats he also closes out the song with one a perfectly crafted verse that shows he is also one of the group’s most talented writers …

End of Summer – [Alley Coop]

The ongoing pandemic has undoubtedly effected everybody reading this in some way, shape, or form. People everywhere have had life through them a major curveball, but a certain group has had a time in their life put on pause that isn’t necessarily one you can simply relive. Kids everywhere finishing High School looking to move onto the next stage of their life, often celebrated with full force, have had to simply wave goodbye to some of the most profoundly confusing and fun years any of us live in their own isolated spaces. Up until now, I haven’t heard a song that contextualizes this feeling quite as well as Alley Coop on “End of Summer”. One of the smoothest voices I have come across is Oklahoma’s Alley Coop, if you aren’t familiar you better fix that quickly. The artist has an incredibly powerful voice at 18, able to craft larger than life melodies that intertwine with the production seamlessly. Alley Coop begins the song about how the life he once knew is over, with coronavirus stealing his year alongside everybody else. It shifts to a more positive space, shining a light on the end of the tunnel later this summer where …
