One of the U.K.’s most promising talents, slowthai, has shared the video for his newly released single, “Rainbow.” Despite the singles recent release only a day ago, October 9, slowthai has already provided a refreshing thriller-esque video for the song. The video opens on him buried alive, illuminated by a single lighter giving way to his hyperventilating cadence. Crawling out of the grave, slowthai emerges afflicted slowly transforming into the giant King Kong himself. Rapping from a top of Big Ben, slowthai addresses racial stereotypes and perceptions that exist in the United Kingdom. This is slowthai’s first release since the arrival of his EP, RUNT released back in early September. Clearly not short on content, slowthai has our curiosity peaked with his new song and video.
